You may have seen in the news where a fully paid passenger was aggressively dragged from his seat and off a United Airlines flight that was over booked. (United apologized after the filmed incident went viral.)
Well, when I was in high school I was on an over booked Ethiopian Airlines flight on a Boeing Jet between Egypt and Ethiopia and there was no seat for me. The stewardesses solved the problem by having me sit with them in the back of the plane. The stewardesses had a bench seat with one seat belt fastening all five of them together for take off and landings. They had me strapped in the middle of the stewardess on that bench seat!!!!!
The photo below shows my parents, brother and sister (I’m at the top step) boarding an Ethiopian Airline DC3 for a down country flight while I was in grade school (6th? or 7th? grade).
