Dear Prayer Warriors, We are always amazed at how appropriate God’s word is for us each day.  This time it turned out to be very humorous! We were at the plastic surgeon and he told us some of the things he could still do in my mouth.  The dentist thinks the mouth is still too small and the scar tissue is in the way. Since the last surgery there is a gap in the left side of the mouth that dribbles saliva and food and looks strange.  So the surgeon said he could withdraw fat from my hip (many have offered me theirs) and inject it into my lips and the left side of the cheek to give these more body, cover the gap a little and fill out the sunken cheek.  He can also corkscrew some bone marrow out of my hip and make a bone graft in my upper jaw so that implants can be done and a small bridge made across the front to maintain the shape of the mouth. On Jan 22 we read in our devotional (KJV) from Ps. 63:5.6 “My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness;” We had a really good laugh at that.  The rest of the verse is good too,”…when I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.” Much of our worry and thinking goes on in the night watches.

Thank you so much for praying about these things. As we were sharing God’s working in our lives in Jetmore, KS this weekend we were told of a Good News Club whose kids have been praying for us from the beginning, asked about us this fall as they started up again and now will have an update from their teacher. “Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings thou has ordained praise, because of the enemy – to still the enemy and the avenger.” God has blessed us with such a prayer army! We cannot be discouraged. We continue to pray for John’s eye believing in Jehovah Rapha, our Healer.  God be with you all, Gwen and John

1. I haven’t heard from Amal since the letter Jean sent.

2. Classes are being interrupted all the time getting the class 12 students   ready for the national exams. I’m sure you understand this process.

3. The rains have started but not as they should  It should be raining every  day  but we have no more then 3 rains a week which is not enough for  the farmers. People say it is because of el Nino.

I have the big boys’ camp the first weekend in Feb. I have been working on  this since September. I will be glad when it is over
