When I take Cricket our dog out for walks I keep singing different verses that come to mind. This is the one that has been on my heart recently. I think it was planted in my mind when our kids were little. The last few weeks that Dave was here on earth with us, I read him books about people who went to heaven and then returned. One book was Trevor’s Song by TA Beam, another Encouraged by the Light by John Edwards, John worked with us in Australia back in the 80’s. We also watched the movie Miracles from Heaven, based on the book written by Christy Beam. Right now I am reading 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper. You could say that Heaven is on my mind and in my heart.
I have aways thought of Heaven as a wonderful place. In my dad’s book Christ’s Globe-Trotter The Legacy of Edward (Ted) Pollock on page 23 he tells of my mother’s experience with Jesus.
“Our first child Eddie Jr, was born on May 13, 1942, in the Canonsburg Hospital, followed shortly by daughter Penny on December 13, 1943. Penny’s birth was particularly difficult for Dolly. Dr. Johnston thought Dolly would die because she hemorrhaged on the delivery table for two hours. Afterward, Dolly told of an out-of-body experience in which she saw Jesus. Jesus informed her that she could stay or she could come back to me. If she chose to come back, life would be difficult. She said she couldn’t leave me alone with the two babies.”
What I remember about Mom’s story that Dad did not write in the book, is that she asked Jesus if he would be with her here on earth and he said “YES”. I do not believe she would have come back if she did not have that assurance.
Heaven is a place I long to go and I already have my ticket bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus. I also have Heaven to a degree here on earth as I spend time with Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Until Jesus calls me home I want to share the good news about Jesus so that others can book their tickets to Heaven and spend an eternity with me and all of those who have gone before.

A Savior to Serve
947
Sing hallelujah and lift up a song. Because of Jesus we all may belong, to the house of grace, of truth, and great love, as a free gift from The LORD God above.
We all have the right to choose whom we serve, and reap at harvest the fruit we deserve. Heaven is for real, but then so is hell, the natural outcome for man since he fell.
If not for Jesus, The Christ whom God sent, our hope would be one of endless lament. But, praise to The God of unfailing grace, who offered new hope for the human race.
God had compassion so deep and so wide, that He made refuge wherein we may hide. He spared not His Son to bring us a gift, so we, by faith, may let God heal the rift.
When we bowed to Christ, who died in our place, God opened the door to infinite grace. With Hell no longer the fate we deserve, we have the freedom our Savior to serve.
