Proverbs 8:30-31

Then I was beside Him, as a master workman; And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him, Rejoicing in the world, His earth, And having my delight in the sons of men.

When one delights in the Lord there is no end of ways that He will show you his glory and blessings.

As you can see Dave is still getting chemo every two weeks, however he is getting tired of just sitting while having chemo. Two weeks ago he brought in a jewelry box he was making and put the hinges on. Needless to say lots of people looked our way. We are so thankful that Dave continues to be healthy enough for chemo. March is here and Dave is once again in the chemo chair, this week they took his cancer markers so by the end of the week we should know what they are. At the end of March, Dave will go in for another CT scan. This week we were reading in Numbers and this verse spoke to me. Numbers 9:21 “Whether it was two days, a month, or a year that the cloud remained above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would remain encamped and not journey; but when it was taken up, they would journey.” So often I want things to happen in my timing. Like the Israelites I am learning to look to the Lord for his timing. Right now He is showing us we need to stay where we are as Dave is still connected to the chemo pump every two weeks. Continue to pray with us for Dave’s complete healing from cancer.

We had a delightful weekend in the middle of February. Three of our children were here with us for 24 hours. It was great to see Josh, Steph and their three kids, having Heather and Nathan here was wonderful. 1) Under Josh’s car doing repairs before they drive off. 2) Sitting around the workshop garage. 3) Eddie helping Hazel with rocket balloons. 4) Logan and Hazel letting off rocket balloons with Grandma. 5) Hazel hugging cricket.

My Delight

784

The Word of God is my delight,

the help I need to win the fight.

It has the words that tell of truth;

giving my soul the strength of youth.

It told me of the Christ who came

this wayward sinner to reclaim.

And as I listened to its voice

it gave to me the living choice.

It brought to me the dawn of grace;

the light of love upon my face.

It is the peace amid the storm

that keeps my heart forever warm.

I will not turn my back on it

for it has pulled me from the pit

to walk upon God’s Holy ground

among the lambs The Shepherd found.

It tells me of a coming day

when at God’s word death will give way.

The dead in Christ will rise to life

forever safe from sin and strife.
